| About the Court |
The Free State High Court is one of eleven high courts in South Africa. They are courts of the first hearing civil and criminal cases with no limit to their jurisdiction as to the awards and sentences. They also hear appeals from lower courts. From the high court parties can appeal to the Supreme Court of Appeal or the Constitutional Court.
