Research:
I am a Lecturer in the UFS Department of Computer Science and Informatics. My role is the administration and presentation of a number of courses within the computer science field. This includes presenting classes on data structures, advanced databases, and software engineering. I am also a licensed drone pilot with knowledge and experience in remote sensing techniques. As a doctoral candidate in the University Staff Doctoral Programme (USDP), my research focuses on the development of a machine and deep learning predictive model to locate prospectable fossil locations within the Elliot Formation in South Africa. I belong to the UFS Natural Language Processing Research Group, the Afromontane Research Unit at the UFS, and the Evolutionary Studies Institute at the University of the Witwatersrand.
