Social compact for staff members and students to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 at the UFS
To help combat the spread of COVID-19, the University of the Free State (UFS) is implementing a SocialCompact for staff and students to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the university.
The UFS COVID-19 social compact formalises the responsibility of staff and students to care for one another through a set of social and moral expectations.
To ensure that we all do our part to keep each individual staff member and student healthy and safe, it is important to act in the best interest of everyone’s health, to put the university community first, and to commit ourselves to the compact.
This requires a commitment to comply with the basic preventative measures of wearing a mask, maintaining physical distancing, and adhering to hygiene requirements.
Our staff are encouraged to familiarise themselves with this important agreement by downloading the social compact.
