Meet our Alumni

Troy Myeni

Mpendulo Quinton Myeni

Myeni has quickly made a name for himself as an Executive Producer, Director, Screenwriter and Director of Photography. He is quite the busy artists with two films currently in post-production (one set to release later this year), and an animated film, called 'Unleavened', in pre-production stages. He is also in the process of developing a historical drama short series commissioned by Showmax.

Myeni shares that “My favorite moment in creating is that moment in writing when the characters you are penning begin to take on their own thoughts and then you as writer become merely a spectator of what's unfolding”.

Ané Fourie (neé van den Berg)

Fourie manages the Drostdy Theatre in Stellenbosch and she started her drama school, Drama Troopers, in 2023. She plans to continue teaching, growing, and developing the school and future actors through the work she does. Her industry specialities include acting, theatre managing, physical theatre, and stage make-up.

An interesting fact about Fourie is that she married one of her class mates, 5 years after they finished their studies, even though they never dated during their years at the UFS.

Fourie's favourite quote is from Peter Pan: “All you need is a little faith, trust and pixie dust.”
