Johan Fourie

Johan Fourie, who received his third degree within five years, was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and has been a wheelchair user since the age of 10. He received his BAccounting Honours degree during the autumn graduation ceremony after he already completed his BCom and BCom Honors degrees.

Johan was a learner at Sand du Plessis primary school and completed his high school years as the Dux learner at Martie du Plessis School, obtaining six distinctions in the Matric exam. Fatiguing easily was Johan’s biggest challenge and he was granted extra time when writing tests and exams to ensure that he had an equal opportunity to complete his subjects.

Johan joined the Havenga Rossouw Viljoen auditors firm in 2012 to complete his accounting articles and hopes to be a Chartered Accountant by the end of 2014 after completing the CA exams.
