Arnold Bosman Memorial concert

On Wednesday 29 May the Odeion School of Music will present the annual special memorial concert in honour of Arnold Bosman, renowned conductor and pianist. The first memorial concert took place in 2010 to commemorate five years since his death in 2005. Arnold has developed, especially during the last decade of his life, as a diverse and prominent musical figure and as both performer and conductor he made a significant contribution to musical performance and research in Italy.

Artists who will perform, include:

  • Johan Cromhout & Brigitte Cromhout (piano duet & duo)
  • Odeion Choir with conductor Lance Phillip
  • Albertus Engelbrecht (tenor) & Jan Beukes (organ)

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Sonata in C major, K.521 for piano duet

Anton Arensky: Suite for two pianos, Op. 15

Francisco Valls: Missa hipodorico (performing edition & continuo realisation by Lance J. Phillip, 2018)

Jacobus Kloppers: Celebration of Faith: A Hymn-based Song Cycle for Tenor and Organ (world premiere)
