Cello virtuoso, Georgi Anichenko was born in 1985 in Minsk (Bielorussia).  He started plyain ghte cello at the age of five at the Minsk State Music College with Vladimir Perlin.  In 1996 he won first prize in the International Competition for Young Musicians (Moscow) and in 1997 he won the virtuosity prize at the Junior Tchaikovsky Competition (St. Petersburg). 

 

In 2000, at the age of 15, Georgi entered the Paris National Superior Conservatory where he studied under Philippe Muller and graduated in 2004 with the highest mention (Très Bien a l’unanimité).  He received the French Government Scholarship, Vladimir Spivakov Foundation Scholarship, Tarazzi Foundation Scholarship, Meyer Foundation Scholarship and the Nadia and Lili International Foundation Scholarship.  In October 2004 he became winner of the European Young concert Artists Audition (Paris) and the Finalist of the Young Concert Artists Audition 2005 (New York, USA).

 

Georgie has performed at the Théâtre Mogador, Salle Cortot Paris, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles), Auditorium du Louvre (Paris) and the  Seongnam Cultural Center (South Korea), to name but a few, as well as at festivals like the Festivals La Folle Journée, Saint-Riquier, Colmar International Music Festival (France) and the Kings Place Music Festival (London).  Since 2001 he frequently performs in duo with Anastasya Terenkova.  Georgi is principal cellist of the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia (Valencia, Spain) since 2006.  In 2007 he entered the postgraduate course of the Paris National Superior Conservatory in the class of Jérôme Pernoo.  He won several international competition prizes including first prize at the UNISA International Strings Competition.

 

Described by Diapazon magazine as a “ravishing pianist”, Anastasya has received international critical acclaim and numerous competitions and awards, including the first prize in the Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Award (USA) and the prestigious 2010 Gawon International Music Award (South Korea).  She has been invited to perform at numerous renowned festivals such as the Auvers-sur-Oise, Saint-Riquier, Perigord Noir (all in France), King’s Place (London), Bluthner Piano Series (Leipzig), Trestler Music Series (Montreal) and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia chamber music series (Valencia).

 

Anastasya was born in Moscow and started playing piano at the agte of six in the famous Moscow Gnessin Special Music School (the alma mater of prominent pianists such as Yevgeny Kissin, Boris Berezovsky and Nikolai Demidenko).  In 2001 she enrolled in the Paris National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance where she also completed a postgraduate course (Perfectionnement and Artist Diploma) studying with Georges Pludermacher, Francois Frederic Guy, Itamar Golan and Jacques Rouvier. 

 

She has won numerous awards and scholarships from institutions such as the Georges Cziffra Music Foundation, Meyer Foundation, Nadia et Lili Boulanger Foundation and the ADAMI Foundation and is proud recipient of a Bluthner grand piano from the Arnold Reinhold Foundation.  She has performed at the Auditorium du Louvre, Auditorium du Musée d’Orsay, Cité de la Musique, Salle Cortot (Paris), Rachmaninov- and other halls of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Aaronoff Center (Cincinnati), Mannes Concert Hall (New York), Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia (Valencia) and the Sejong Performing Art Center (Seoul).  Her debut solo CD featuring works by Scarlatti, Chopin and Mussorgsky was released in 2010.
