Arnold Bosman Commemorative Concert

Arnold Bosman Commemorative Concert
12 March 2011

On 12 March 2011, the UFS Department of Music will present a special memorial concert in honour of Arnold Bosman, renowned conductor and pianist. In 2010, Arnold’s father, dr. Willem Bosman, donated his son’s musical inheritance to the UFS. Arnold, a former South African, has developed, especially during the last decade of his life, as a diverse and prominent musical figure and as both performer and conductor he made a significant contribution to musical performance and research in Italy. In this concert, musicians who have previously worked with Arnold, will perform and they include: Nicol Viljoen (piano), Sibongile Mngoma (soprano) & Claudia Strauss (piano), Johan Cromhout and Brigitte Botha (piano duo) and the Odeion Choir with conductor Lance Phillip.
