UFS observes one year of lockdown

UFS observes one year of lockdown
The community of the University of the Free State (UFS) observes 365 days of the national lockdown, which commenced on 27 March 2020.
During 2020 and 2021, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic was felt by the UFS community in many ways.
Some of our staff and students have lost family members and/or friends. We celebrate their lives and express our deepest sympathy to their families and colleagues with their loss.
We salute our shared resilience and our commitment to act in the best interest of our health and that of others, and to put the university community first. We pledge to do our part to keep each individual healthy and safe. We recognise that everyone plays an integral role in creating a safe and healthy learning, living, and working environment. With our UFS COVID-19 Social Compact, we recognise our responsibility to care for one another through a set of social and moral expectations.
