Short CV

Sonja Loots obtained her PhD in Psychology from the UFS in 2011. She was awarded a postdoctoral research fellowship from the Centre for Research on Higher Education and Development (CRHED) where she worked on a longitudinal project on gender equality in higher education. In 2013 she was awarded a CICOPS fellowship from the University of Pavia, Italy. She has been involved in several research, academic and student development programmes and has published nationally and internationally. She joined the CTL research team in 2016 and her current research focuses on promoting student success and development through a student engagement lens.
