Dr Griessel is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a counseling psychologist. She is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Industrial Psychology at the University of the Free State, where she lectures on psychological assessment and measurement, as well as employee well-being on post-graduate level. Dr Griessel is registered as a Jungian Analyst with the South African Association of Jungian Analysts (SAAJA) and the International Association of Jungian Analysts (IAAP).
Dr Griessel has extensive experience in the application of psychometric assessment in the workplace, which includes the development of selection and validation procedures for organizations and academic programs, selection of personnel, assessment of learning potential and assessment of leadership and management competencies.
She has supervised various Honors and Masters Dissertations in the department of Industrial Psychology.
Dr Griessel coordinated the professional training program in the Department of Industrial Psychology from 1989-2015. In this capacity, she managed the program, conducted training in psychometric tests and supervised post-graduate students in their training as psychometrists (independent practice).
She has lectured in various programs (MBA, BOP, MDP, MPP, BML, BML online) at the Business School at the University of the Free State, where she was responsible for training in various areas of self-development.
Dr Griessel has completed her doctoral research on the psycho dynamics of career-oriented women from a Jungian perspective.
