Perspectives in Education turns a new page

The DHET and IBSS accredited KovsieJournal, Perspectives in Education (PiE), was established in 1976. It is a professional peer-reviewed journal that encourages the submission of previously unpublished articles on educational issues.

In March 2020, renowned educationist and researcher, Prof Jan Nieuwenhuis, appointed as the new editor-in-chief of PiE and under his leadership and guidance, PiE adopted a complete OpenAccess approach to its operations. It now employs an Open Journal System (OJS) through which all articles are submitted, reviewed and finally published. This system allows authors to track the progress of their articles and allows readers to download articles as soon as they are published.

In line with all the technological changes and advances that PiE adopted, it also found a new home at the University’s technological hub and campus for Open Distance Learning, the South Campus in Bloemfontein.
