In the phase of the new South Africa, we meet a group of four women who come from different backgrounds and they have their individual ideologies of what is takes to make it in the democratic rainbow nation. “Plastics” is a satirical drama in the milieu of Sandton, where the elite are presumed to reside.

Despite their diverse personalities these women work together regardless of race, age or creed for a common goal. A business opportunity is used to repair a damaged past of each character and to take care of their future. “Plastics” articulates the views of many South Africans who are trying to find a new identity post the 1994 elections.

The production opens at the Scaena Theatre from (19 Preview) 20-22 October at 19:30. Tickets are available at Computicket as well as at the doors.
