Short CV

Jan Beukes obtained the degrees BMus with both organ and piano as specialisation areas under the tutelage of Leonore Kloppers and Nettie Immelman, BMus Hons in church music, MMus, and Ph.D. (Music) in organ performance under the guidance of Leonore Kloppers, from the University of the Free State. and obtained a Licentiate in Organ Performance from Unisa. During this time, he took part in masterclasses with Ludger Lohmann (Germany), Ewald Kooiman (The Netherlands), Wolfgang Rübsam (USA), and Jacques van Oortmerssen (The Netherlands). He lectures organ, organ method, aural skills and keyboard skills since 2002 and joined the permanent staff in 2010. He frequently gives solo organ recitals and is involved in chamber music activities involving the organ. His students won various awards and competitions.
