2. Personal Statement

I consider myself to be a sociable and hardworking individual who enjoys teaching, learning, researching and engaging with other individuals. I enjoy the realm of education/academia and regard myself to be an individual who tries to bring about a fresh and critical outlook when it comes to the teaching, learning and research experience.

 

3. Qualifications and Education

2006: Received my BA in Psychology (Cum Laude) at the University of Johannesburg.

2007: Received my Honours in Psychology at the University of Johannesburg.

2008: Received my PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) Cum Laude at the University of Johannesburg (I am also qualified to teach English).

2009: Received my Honours in Philosophy (Cum Laude) at the University of Johannesburg.

2013: Completed additional English Modules to supplement my BA Degree - focusing on: Poetry, Classical literature, Contemporary literature, African literature and the History of the English language - through the University of South Africa (UNISA).

2014: Completed my Masters in Philosophy dissertation, with distinction, through the North West University under the supervision of Professor Anne` Verhoef. The title of my dissertation was: The dialectical nature of Social Networking.

2015: Started with my Doctorate in Philosophy, under the current supervision of Professor Bert Olivier from the University of the Free State.

4. Professional Employment 

2010: English and Life Orientation teacher at St. Benedict`s College

2015: Ethical Officer - contract basis - for Cars.co.za and Tozer Advertising.

2016 - 18: Facilitator, Tutor and Auxiliary Lecturer, Curriculum & Course Developer at the Department of Philosophy (University of the Free State).
