Michael Glover

Michael researches in the field of animal history. Specifically, he is researching for a cattle-centred history of southern Africa, concentrating on late 19th and 20th century colonial impacts on cattle. His primary research interests presently are animal histories and colonialism. He is co-registered at Leiden University in the African Studies Centre. He has an Honours in Philosophy (Rhodes), a PGDip in Education Technology (UCT), and an MA in Economic History (UCT). He has worked in learning design on international award-winning online courses. He has published internationally in open education and open pedagogies, animal history, and philosophy. Michael is an Associate Fellow of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics.
