Tawanda Valentine Chambwe

Tawanda Chambwe holds a BA (Hons) in Economic History and an MA in African Economic History from the University of Zimbabwe. He is interested in African Economic History and Business History with a particular focus on African Entrepreneurship and informal livelihoods within colonial spaces. He is also interested in commercial zones as spaces of interaction between and among Africans on the one hand and the colonial state on the other during the colonial period. Tawanda’s current PhD project is looking at the development of African entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe during the colonial period up to the first ten years of independence.
