Short CV

I am an astute, National Research Foundation (NRF) rated researcher with 12 years of experience gained working for the academic, national and international organisations. I hold a PhD, Masters, Honors and Bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics. I am currently working as a Senior Lecturer and researcher at the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa. As a senior Lecturer, I present classes and supervise undergraduate, masters and PhD students. Some of the areas I focus and lecture on include; econometrics (including time series econometrics), international trade, policy and development and Disaster Risk Management. As a researcher and consultant, I work with international and local organizations as project leader and principal investigator, conduct research, contribute to publications in different fields of Agricultural Economics, and actively involved in writing of research proposals for funding. I possess strong economic research and analytical skills and have a strong pedigree in econometrics, mathematical modelling, trade and trend analysis, statistical analysis, economic and socio-economic analysis, value chain analysis and price analysis, and forecasting. In addition to my technical economic skills, I also possess good people and project management capabilities. I have published over 20 articles in peer reviewed journals, made a number of conference presentations, and have supervised more than 15 postgraduate students (MSc and PhD altogether).
