Short CV

Eleanor Müller (Fourie) completed her M.Sc. in 2002 in Organic Chemistry at the University of the Free State, working on natural compounds. She obtained her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in 2008 working on metallocenyl-containing ligands and their rhodium complexes, with the focus being on electrochemistry, kinetics and biological properties.

She is a Senior lecturer in the Physical Chemistry, since July 2011. Her main research focus is organometallic and polymer chemistry with application as antineoplastic drugs. She has made research visits to the Polymer Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, as well as the University of Bristol. In order to streamline the drug delivery process, she has her own cell culture lab for drug testing.  Thus all newly synthesized compounds are tested in-house as possible anti-cancer drugs.

Dr. Muller is an experienced lecturer in Physical Chemistry in the areas of Thermodynamics, Kinetics, Electrochemistry and heterogeneous chemistry.
