Johannes Augustinus (Tinus) Viljoen, a native of Bloemfontein, matriculated from Fichardtpark High School before embarking on his academic journey. In 2005, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of the Free State, specializing in Physics and Chemistry. Tinus continued his studies in Chemistry at the University of the Free State, ultimately attaining his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry. Alongside his academic pursuits, Tinus also serves as the hazardous materials specialist overseeing the management of hazardous chemical waste at UFS, demonstrating a well-rounded skill set that encompasses both academic expertise and practical experience in environmental stewardship.
