My current research involves the study of high grade metamorphic rocks within the Namaqua Mobile Belt. I specialize in field geology, tectonics, geological structures (mapping of folds, sheath folds, fold nappes and thrust zones on meso and macro scale) and stratigraphic studies. My area of interest is within the Aggeneys-Pofadder area which hosts the largest Pb-Cu-Zn base metal deposits in the world, and is currently being mined and explored due to the areas economic potential. I`m currently completing my M.Sc, which will provide new tectonic and structural aspects not previously identified within the Namaqua Mobile Belt.
