Kgosi Mocwagae (Pr. Pln. A/2896/2019) is a qualified professional town planner with five years experience and the following qualifications:

  • BSc (IT) Management
  • B.Spatial Planning (Hons)
  • Master in Urban and Regional Planning
  • PhD 

His career in urban and regional planning started at the University of the Free State in 2014 as a research assistant, but has grown to lecturing, research, supervision, private consultations and membership of Municipal Planning Tribunal.

2014 - 2014: Research Assistant

2015 - 2017: Junior Lecturer and establishment of private planning consultancy

2018 - 2021: Lecturer 

2020 - 2022: Programme Director

2022 - to date: Senior Lecturer

2023 - to date: Academic Head of Department
