This study group focuses on the role insects play in disease transmission and other types of damage caused by insects to humans, livestock, and wildlife. The aim of these studies is to contribute to the knowledge needed to minimise possible large-scale detrimental effects of insects. The group is consulted on insect vectors and is rearing insect vectors for research trials. The study group is looking at establishing new collaborations to widen their scope of work.
