• Compliance in Research activities involves sound ethical conduct of research. Researchers apply for Ethical Clearance via the electronic system (RIMS). Getting ethical approval can be challenging for researchers that do not understand the whole compliance process and the timeframes.
• The session aims to explain all the processes involved to understand the ethical clearance process. It will include the electronic application form, the routing process, the review process, the electronic meeting, the final decision, and communication. It will include an explanation of the subsequent submissions and how to respond to modification or requested changes. Therefore, the session aims to give applicants a better understanding of RIMS and the ethics application and approval processes.
