Emily Hobhouse

Emily Hobhouse Residence Community is a tight-knit group of students who support and nurture one another. This esteemed residence was established in 1963, and proudly celebrates 60 years of existence. It is named after a selfless and courageous historical icon. Our 155 house members work together to create a welcoming space that inspires each individual to excel. We live and learn as a proud part of Student Life - Student Communities.

In our shared space, our house members are encouraged to discover their authentic self and develop their full potential with the resources available. This is very important to us because that is how we measure our success and impact in the residence community. Therefore, with the support from the university, residence life and college structure, students are exposed to various opportunities in order to develop and contribute to the residence community. This shapes our shared identity, because we live by the motto “Omnis Valet”, which means everyone counts.

We therefore welcome and invite you to Emily Hobhouse Residence, to live out your unique identity and to celebrate your growth. Our strength lies in our vibrant diversity because it is the rhythm of our residence. We encourage you to be part of the rhythm of our value-driven space.

Emily Hobhouse Residence is the perfect place for you, in order to build meaningful relations and thrive holistically in the residence community.
