Harmony logo

House Harmony opened its doors in 2015, making it the youngest residence on campus. Our residence accommodates 164 first-year students only, receiving special support from competent residence assistants (RA), who serve as first-year mentors and role models, support first-years through their first-year experience and transition at the university. We have 18 residence assistants (RA), who are senior students at the university. We are a one-of-a-kind community at the University of the Free State, with a system that is also new in the South African housing landscape.

RAs will ensure that your first-year experience at the UFS is the best year of your academic life, by supporting you emotionally and academically, while still allowing you the freedom to enjoy university life.

We pride ourselves on our uniqueness and our attitude towards learning, which contributes to a diverse community. We have the best modern resources, including a large academic hall inside the residence, where lecture and tutorial classes take place, right on your doorstep, allowing you to enjoy the living and learning experience.

Join us and embrace your academic dream.
