THE BIGGEST FAMILY ON CAMPUS!
Sonnedou, which was founded in 1978, is the biggest female day residence at the University of the Free State. Day residences like Sonnedou enable students who stay off-campus to actively participate in campus activities, as well as enjoy social interaction with other students on campus.
Our Gazellie is well-equipped with an academic room, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and a fully furnished lounge that serves as a social space for all Sonnedou sisters and their friends.
Our sisters are more than welcome to come between their classes to relax and socialise, shower, have their lunch, study, and so much more, because Sonnedou truly is your Home away from Home!
Here at Sonnedou our motto is 'We Don’t Judge; We Embrace'. We believe in uniqueness and that you should embrace each other's differences. We grow together as a sisterhood and lend a helping hand where we can.
