Veritas is undoubtedly one of the best residences in the culture department on the Kovsie campus. We are known as the leading cultural and serenading men's residence at the UFS.

The four major cultural projects that are hosted on campus, is dominated by Veritas. At Mosaic, which is a joint project with two or three other residences, Veritas has never been placed lower than third place. Veritas is also a strong opponent for the other residences at Stagedoor (first-year Serenade) and usually end up in the top three.

One of the biggest events on the campus cultural calendar is Kleinsêr (Senior Serenade). Since the beginning of the competition, Veritas has always been a big competitor, and our men already walked away with 11 Kleinsêr titles. National Serenade, which was launched in 1997 by the ATKV on a different campus each year, has over the years been a platform where Veritas performed extremely well. In 1997, 2001, 2003, and 2010 respectively, Veritas won national titles and was known as the best men sêr group in the country. Veritas is the only hostel (with Veritas Puk) in South Africa who won this prestigious title four times. Veritas's sêr groups also made CD recordings of the songs sung in the competitions in 2006, 2010, and 2012.

Veritas yielded the Kovsie Church Idol winner in 2010, and several other awards. In the cultural sphere, Veritas is an advocate on campus involvement. In recent years, we have aslo won the prize for best overall culture residence among men's and women's residences.
