HIV and AIDS has multiple and profound effects on all aspects of the lives of those living with the virus. Although advances in treatment modalities have made HIV infection more treatable as a chronic illness, disease management still requires significant lifestyle modifications and adaptation of daily activities to the demands of the prescribed treatment regimes. In addition to stressful disease-management issues, persons living with HIV experience ongoing psycho-social stressors, both interpersonal and intrapersonal.

To improve the quality of the life and social support of UFS students who are living with HIV, Kovsie Health offers a support group to students living with HIV and those who are affected by HIV and AIDS.

The group meets once a week on Fridays from 12:00.
