The Division of Student Affairs (DSA) Research office is responsible to establish a culture of data-driven praxis and empirically based innovation in Student Affairs. To this end, the Research Office facilitates the following in support of the different functional areas of the DSA:
- Training, coaching, and supporting staff in monitoring, assessment, and evaluation practices;
- Training, coaching and supporting staff in scholarly writing to produce research outputs;
- Coordinating the conceptualisation, implementation, and publication of strategic research projects in the DSA;
- Manage the DSA office collection – these sources are crucial to creating a well-established theoretical basis for DSA structures and operations;
- Manage all research ethical processes involving the DSA – including gatekeepers approvals.
- Lead the annual DSA Research Colloquium.
