Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the Convocation of the University of the Free State (UFS) to deal with the following matters:

- Election of the President and Vice-President of the Convocation.
- Address by the elected President.
- Representatives of the Convocation on the Executive Committee of the Convocation.
- Vote of thanks by the Vice-President.

Prof Swanepoel addresses Parliament

Prof. Swanepoel is also a professor extraordinary at the Centre for Sustainable Agriculture at the UFS and an adjunct professor at the University of Fort Hare and serves on many committees and boards in South Africa and internationally.

Prof. Frans Swanepoel, Director: Research Development at the University of the Free State (UFS), addressed the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Cape Town by invitation as part of their strategic planning. Other presenters included Prof. Albert Modi from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and Prof. Mohammed Karaan, University of Stellenbosch.
