Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the Convocation of the University of the Free State (UFS) to deal with the following matters:

  • Address by the outgoing President.
  • Address by the Rector and Vice-Chancellor.
  • Address by the Registrar.
  • Election of the President and Vice-President of the Convocation.
  • Address by the elected President.
  • Representatives of the Convocation on the Executive Committee of the Convocation.
  • Vote of thanks by the Vice-President.

Anglo Boer War: Book launched
2005-10-10

During the year end function of the Kovsie-Alumni Trust of the University of the Free State (UFS) this weekend, a book titled "Riders in the Night" written by Mr John Dyer, was launched.  The book deals with facets of the Anglo Boer War. Mr Dyer is an internationally recognised person in the world of conservation and a connoisseur of  African nature. Half of the South African sales of the book will be donated by Mr Dyer to the Kovsie-Alumni Trust.
