The 2020 Stagedoor finals brought the Kopanong Auditorium on the University of the Free State (UFS) Bloemfontein Campus to life, with volumes of festive singing, dancing, and cheering by first-year Kovsies and the rest of the university community in attendance on the night.

Winning the overall competition was House Wag-'n-Bietjie and Kagiso, with Villa Bravado and NJ van der Merwe in second place, followed by Karee and Welwitschia in third place.

The best actor and actress awards went to Brendan Nel (House Villa Bravado) and Anna Dzugula (House Arista), respectively. The new Health Sciences Residence also had a stake in the winning pie by triumphing in the Best Music category.

Stagedoor is an interactive theatre and musically infused cultural competition held on an annual basis for UFS student residences and is unique to the university.
