KovsieFencing at the university boasts a rich history and a legacy of national and international representation. Our team comprises athletes of national calibre who have proudly represented Kovsies both nationally and internationally in disciplines such as epee, foil, and sabre. Led by esteemed national coach Gunter Schröder, alongside his brother Jurgen Schröder, KovsieFencing has nurtured talent from the grassroots levels to the highest echelons of competitive fencing, resulting in the establishment of a high-performance fencing complex. This legacy includes participation in USSA tournaments, showcasing our commitment to excellence in fencing.

Founded as one of the oldest sports clubs at the university, the KovsieFencing Club practises three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 18:00 to 19:30.

Facilities
Located at the Callie Human Centre, KovsieFencing provides an ideal environment for fencing training and competitions. Our facility has hosted numerous prestigious events and is accessible to all registered university and off-campus community sports clubs.
