Southern African Computer Lecturers' Association 2012
Educating in a Changing Environment.
The Southern African Computer Lecturers' Association is a relatively informal association of people involved in the teaching of Computer Science and Information Systems at universities throughout Southern Africa. It presents lecturers at tertiary departments of Computer Science and Information Systems with an opportunity to share experiences of teaching from undergraduate to doctoral levels.
This year's conference is being hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Informatics at the University of the Free State. The conference will be held at the Black Mountain Leisure & Conference Hotel, Thaba ‘Nchu, outside of Bloemfontein, from 1-3 July 2012.
The theme of SACLA 2012 is "Educating in a changing environment". The conference programme will include paper sessions, plenary keynote addresses and workshops by our sponsors. A confirmed keynote speaker is Prof. Johannes Cronjé from CPUT who will address us on the topic "Using ICT to teach ICT". The SACLA 2012 Conference organising committee takes pleasure in inviting you to join us for this year’s conference.
