UFS Masculinity 245

Student Affairs, Kovsie Counselling, Health and Wellness, and Gender Studies invite you to a conference on masculinity titled Are you man enough? Conversations at the conference on masculinity will investigate what it means to be a man, and discuss ways to eradicate attitudes of male privilege and gender bias that often result in sexist and sometimes overtly violent behaviour. Mbuyiselo Botha (Sonke Gender Justice), Prof. Sandra Swart (University of Stellenbosch) and Cesar Lagleva (County of Marin, San Rafael) are some of the experts who will be sharing their ideas, experiences and work conducted in the field of men and masculinities. Interesting themes that will be covered include Men and Sport, Men and Leadership and Men and Violence. Ollie le Roux, the rugby player, will also join the roundtable conversations on what it means to be a man.

All UFS students and staff are welcome and registration is free. Please note that there only limited space is available.
