This discipline is innovative in its application of psychological knowledge and beliefs in teaching and learning.

It offers a range of programmes dealing with human well-being and development, learning processes, inclusivity and diversity.

At the undergraduate level (BEd), this discipline offers modules that address:

  • Inclusive teaching and learning

At the postgraduate level (PGCE, PGDip and BEd Hons) the following are offered:

  • Foundations of Education Psychology
  • Intelligence, attention and memory

  • The Theory and Practice of Counselling

  • Social Work Support

Master’s (MEd) and Doctoral studies (PhD):

MEd and PhD students are supervised within the broad fields of Psychology of Education and Inclusive Education.
