South African Sign Language story competition
As part of Deaf Awareness Month, the department and Signals will visit Bartimea School for the Deaf in Thaba Nchu during September. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing restrictions, we have not been able to do so since 2020.  Therefore, this year the department is launching a SASL story competition for the learners at this school. Learners can submit any story of their choice between 30 August and 3 September 2021.
The winners of each school phase will be announced at the end of September.
