Short Description of the SLP: This SLP introduces participants to explanations of Governance and how it manifests in theory and practice. Participants will acquire certain skills and policy-making tools to enable them to address transformation goals through Good Governance practices.

Policy Instruments for Governance and Measuring Governance
Applied Governance; Dilemmas of Governance; Governance and Conflict: Conflict Competent Development; and 
Governance and Labour Relations: management and Governance towards sustainability.
6 lectures (2 per learning unit). Study guides and study material will be made available on the LMS (BlackBoard). 
Assessments: Formative assessments will take place during the three days of contact sessions with various exercises. 
Summative assessment will be in the form of a final research assignment to be submitted and graded.
