Short CV

Laetitia Fourie lectures various under and postgraduate modules in the Department of Mercantile Law that include Labour Law, Consumer Law and Insurance Law.

She obtained her LL.B degree (Cum Laude) at the University of the Free State in 2007. Thereafter she continued her studies and obtained her LLM degree in Mercantile Law at the University of the Free State in 2008. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State.

After successfully completing her articles at Naudes Attorneys (now Phatsoane Henney Incorporated) she was admitted as an Attorney of the Free State High Court of South Africa in 2010.  

Laetitia conducts research in Labour and Disability Law and has delivered international and national papers in these areas of the law.  She is currently registered as a Ph.D candidate at the University of Leiden, the Netherlands conducting research on the protection of employees with disabilities in the South Arican workplace.
