My tertiary education commenced at the University of the Western Cape in 1997. I completed Higher Diploma in Education, BA Hons in Human Ecology and Master’s degree in Human Ecology and PhD (empowering people with disabilities participating in income- generating activities) at the University of the Free state, 2019.
I started my career as a fabric technologist in 2003 and in 2005 I was appointed as the Consumer studies and technology teacher at Edgemead High School. In 2013 I was appointed as permanent academic staff at the UFS. Since 2013 I have been responsible for lecturing socio-psychological aspects of clothing, consumer behaviour and community development. I have co-supervised master’s students and I am currently supervising postgraduate students on consumer behaviour and community
