Postal Division 

The task of the Postal Division at the UFS is similar to a public post office
(except that this division does not operate with cash/stamps), with the following functions: 

  • Daily collection of postal articles at certain points on campus as agreed upon.
  • Receiving of postal articles from divisions/faculties.
  • Stamping and dispatching of official outgoing mail.
  • Sorting of postal articles.
  • Taking of postal articles to the Post Office.
  • Collection of the University postal articles from the Post Office.
  • Distribution of postal articles to divisions as agreed upon.
  • Keeping the staff directory up to date in view of effective postal delivery.

Documentation

Responsibilities: 

  • Archiving (electronically and manually) of documents, among which includes student files.
  • Cataloging and retrieval of documents and facilitation thereof if stored outside the UFS.
  • Administration of postal articles addressed to the Registrar: Student Academic Services and related to the payment of fees.
  • Collaboration regarding the digitising of documentation.
