Eligibility & Participation Requirements

Closing Date for Entries: Monday, 11 May 2026 at 16:00

To Qualify for Mx & Mxss UFS 2026, applicants must:

  • Open to full-time UFS students only
  • 2nd year undergraduate and postgraduate students only
  • Minimum 65% academic average (previous academic year, i.e. 2025)
  • Applicants must select UFS values they embody and upload supporting evidence
  • All uploads must be PDF, JPEG or PNG (each under 1 MB)
  • Postgraduates must upload a Supervisor Confirmation Letter
  • Applicants must declare good conduct (no disciplinary record in past two years)

Participants must prepare the following outfits as part of their Mx & Mxss UFS 2025 participation:

  1. Formal Wear
    • Evening gown / formal suit
    • For the crowning moment — elegant, classic, and stylish
  2. Traditional / Cultural Attire
    • Celebrating your heritage or identity
    • Must be respectful, authentic, and aligned with UFS values
  3. Smart Casual / Personality Wear
    • A look that reflects your uniqueness, values, or student life spirit
    • May include expressive fashion, Afro-urban, or creative elements
  4. White T-Shirt and Blue Denim Jeans
    • Standard appearance outfit for rehearsals and campaign visuals
    • Contestants must bring their own short sleeve white t-shirt and blue denim jeans (pants)
  5. Creative Challenge: Sustainability Meets Style
    • As part of the Mx & Mxss UFS 2026 experience, all finalists will participate in a creative sustainability challenge aligned with the UFS value of environmental consciousness.
    • Think of this as an opportunity to show the kind of ingenuity, originality, and care that makes a true UFS ambassador.

Note:

  • Outfits must be finalized before returning from recess
  • If financial or accessibility support is needed, students must communicate early with their campus coordinator
  • Footwear must match the outfit (formal shoes, clean sneakers, etc.)
  • All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are compulsory and must be completed for your application to be considered.
