Innocensia Mangoato says she’s always had an interest in science, and initially wanted to study medicine. She ended up doing a BSc in Physiology and genetics.

Innocensia Mangoato, Pharmacology Masters graduate, recently appeared on SABC3's flagship youth programme Hectic Nine9, after her research on using cannabis in cancer treatment earned her a 2018 Women in Science Award.

Institute trains staff from Department of Education, Northern Cape

The Research Institute for Education Planning (RIEP) at the University of the Free State (UFS) recently trained 15 learning area managers from the intermediary and senior phase of the Department of Education in the Northern Cape in the Family Math programme. The programme is used in the Northen Cape as part of the department's “Demistifying of Mathematics” strategy.
