Nominations are now open for the 40th Chancellor’s Distinguished Alumni Awards.
You are invited to nominate alumni of the University of the Free State (UFS) for the 40th Chancellor's Distinguished Alumni Awards.
Nominations are now open online and will remain open until midnight on 28 February 2026.
Kindly complete the online nomination form using the link, noting the applicable eligibility and category criteria outlined.
All nomination form fields are required, and supporting documents must be uploaded with the nomination form prior to submission.
Only nominations that meet the eligibility criteria and include the applicable supporting documents will be considered valid.
The closing date for nominations is strictly midnight on Saturday 28 February 2026.
No late or incomplete nominations will be considered.
The nomination categories are listed below, and nominees may nominate alumni across various categories, taking note of the category criteria for the selected category or categories.
- Chancellor's Distinguished Alum of the Year Award
- Chancellor's Distinguished Young Alum of the Year Award
- Executive Management Award
- Cum Laude Award
- Kovsie Ambassador Award
Nominators must be at least 18 years of age or older and need not have any affiliation with the University of the Free State.
Nominators are requested to secure their nominees’ consent, share their nominees’ brief career highlights, provide a brief motivation and upload 2 professional photographs and one three-page professional resume to support a complete nomination.
