The University of the Free State (UFS) Chancellor, Prof Bonang Mohale, together with the Rector and Vice-Chancellor, Prof Francis Petersen, invite alumni, staff members, and students to nominate outstanding alumni for the Chancellor’s Distinguished Alumni Awards.
The 38th Chancellor’s Distinguished Alumni Awards serves to acknowledge and honour alumni for achievements in both their personal and professional capacities.
Any person can nominate alumni who have graduated from the University of the Free State. The winners will be selected by an adjudication committee and the award winners will be announced at the Chancellor’s Distinguished Alumni Awards gala banquet on Saturday, 20 May 2023.
The applicable categories for the Chancellor’s Distinguished Alumni Awards are as follows:
- Chancellor’s Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award
- Young Alumnus of the Year Award
- Cum Laude Award
- Executive Management Award
- Kovsie Ambassador Award
The deadline for the nominations is Saturday, 25 March 2023.
