Innocensia Mangoato says she’s always had an interest in science, and initially wanted to study medicine. She ended up doing a BSc in Physiology and genetics.

Innocensia Mangoato, Pharmacology Masters graduate, recently appeared on SABC3's flagship youth programme Hectic Nine9, after her research on using cannabis in cancer treatment earned her a 2018 Women in Science Award.

CAS welcomes its class of 2010

The Centre for Africa Studies recently held its first contact session and orientation for 2010. A vocationally and geographically diverse group of students comprising Master’s as well as Honours students, some coming from as far as Australia, attended the opening contact session. They were welcomed by the staff and lecturers involved with the Centre. In the picture are some of the students who attended the contact session and orientation.
