Innocensia Mangoato says she’s always had an interest in science, and initially wanted to study medicine. She ended up doing a BSc in Physiology and genetics.
Innocensia Mangoato, Pharmacology Masters graduate, recently appeared on SABC3's flagship youth programme Hectic Nine9, after her
research on using cannabis in cancer treatment earned her a 2018 Women in Science Award.
UK academic delivers lecture at the UFS

Dr Nigel Cassidy from the University of Keele in England recently visited the University of the Free State’s (UFS) Departments of Geology and Soil, Crop and Climate Sciences. He was a speaker at the 2010 Combined Conference of the Soil Science, Crop Production, Horticultural and Weed Science Associations of South Africa. He delivered a lecture at the Department of Geology titled “Mars, Bars and GPRS”.
