Innocensia Mangoato says she’s always had an interest in science, and initially wanted to study medicine. She ended up doing a BSc in Physiology and genetics.
Innocensia Mangoato, Pharmacology Masters graduate, recently appeared on SABC3's flagship youth programme Hectic Nine9, after her
research on using cannabis in cancer treatment earned her a 2018 Women in Science Award.
Students visit Australia as part of exchange programme

Six students from the University of the Free State’s (UFS) Department of Communication and Information Studies will be visiting three universities in Sydney, Australia from 21 April to 4 May 2007 as part of a student exchange programme. They will be accompanied by three lecturers, namely Prof. Manie Breytenbach, Ms Dalmé Mulder and Ms Rentia du Plessis.
