Safety Week is here, and you are invited to attend the series of events which are taking place on the Bloemfontein and South campuses from 3 to 6 September 2018.
Issues to be discussed include the handling of sexual assault, gender equality, mental health, personal and road safety. Representatives from, among others, the Sector 3 Community Policing Forum, South African Police Services, Mangaung Local Municipality, Embrace A Sister organisation, Next Chapter organisation, and the Gender and Sexual Equity office will deliver keynote addresses.

The Department of Communication and Information Studies at the University of the Free State (UFS) held a function recently to honour its undergraduate achievers for 2007. The event was attended by 23 students. From the left, are: Mr Frans Botha (student in B.A. Media Studies), Dr Ezekiel Moraka (Vice-Rector of Student Affairs at the UFS), Ms Thato Makae (student in B.A. Integrated Marketing Communication), Ms Mercia Coetzee (Programme Director at the department), and Mr Earl Coetzee (student in B.A. Media Studies).
